MLB Playoffs
[Guest post by DRJ]
The Red Sox lead the Rays 1-0 and play again tonight at 8:07 PM EST.
The Phillies are two up on this blog’s hometown Dodgers, and their next game is Sunday at 8:22 PM EST.
I don’t follow baseball the way I used to so I’ll leave it to our resident baseball fans to forecast the rest of the playoffs and offer predictions for the World Series.

I predict that it will be another century before the Cubs win the World Series.

The Dodgers have their hands full - they HAVE to win on Sunday night and go from there.

Since my team got blown out for the umpteenth time, I’m going with the Phils - screw Manny.

Paul,
I love the Horns but I don’t want to be annoying so I decided not to post about the Horns’ big win over OU.
Because I don’t want to be obnoxious about the fact that they beat the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners.
And I don’t want to be a jerk and point out that that they beat them by 10 points.
You know, I’m just not that kind of obnoxious fan.
At least, not usually.

DRJ, sarcasm becomes you.
And thanks for the laugh.

DRJ - They looked good. That receiver really kept them in the game in the first half, when it had a chance to get away from them.

JD,
I TiVo Texas games and only watch the good parts (from my point of view), so I didn’t see the first half of this game. As a result, I’ve seen more PAC-10, Big Ten, and SEC games than I’ve seen Texas games.

You can count on one thing: in the end, the Phillies will choke.

How about the upstart Rays? What a game! From the worse record in ‘07 to being tied in the ACLS. What a story…
